Fanart for the J-Drama series, 'Hana Yori Dango'. More of you may recognize these characters from the anime/manga. Translation is 'Boys Over Flowers'.

I loved this series and doodled this up while watching the final episodes. Liked it better as a sketch... but a colourful series needs some colourful fanart :3

December 30, 2007 Edit: Recoloured for some more vibrance! Still needs a few alterations with colour for printing as I hope to have a few shiny prints of this for Animaritime 2008. Anyone else hyped for the Hana Yori Dango j-drama movie?! Wedding bells are ringin'!

this series sounds vaguely familiar. my mom used to watch japanese drama but she watches korean now. just like every other japanese mom on earth -lmao-

I LOVED HYD Meteor Garden!! After I had finished the series I wanted to watch it again!! I love Jun! Best Doumyouji they could have ever pick =D
I feel like watching again XD
I wish they made more episodes though, like, what happens after and such, their wedding etc etc

Yeah I wish they had made more too X3 Though I think despite my saddness it was over, it was still a great ending! I got all fan-girly at the end, rarely happens with me XD But the show deserved it! Tsukasa and Tsukushi were my favourite in terms of choosing an actor and actress. They were both amazing 8D

This feels so weird but Makino actually looks like she does in the anime. So cool! XD I love how they're glaring at each other.

This is gonna sound weird, but I think my favorite part of this is the background. The texture, flowers and wobbly border just work really well with the characters, and makes it feel appropriately shojo-y. I can feel the dramatic tension~! And damn, now you've got me curious about the show!
